Season Summary, 2013/14 12 foot skiff

The 2013-14 season for the Lincoln Crowne & Company 12’ skiff concluded over Easter with 7 races for the National titles on Waterloo Bay in Brisbane.

Lincoln Crowne and Company finished 2nd in Brisbane in a very difficult light-air regatta, in addition winning the Veterans trophy.

Over the 2013-14 season Lincoln Crowne and Company participated in 13 races on the Woollahra courses off Bradleys Head, and 18 races from the Lane Cove Club.

Results include first in the Parramatta River Championship, 3rd in the Port Jackson Trophy at Woollahra, and 3rd in the Lincoln Crowne & Company state titles at SFS and Lane Cove. The racing for the club championship at both Lane Cove & Woollahra went to the last race at each. At Lane Cove, in the final heat while tussling with the other contender for the championship LCC was rammed by another boat & capsized, relegating LCC to second. Ahead of the last heat at Woollahra, with a 3 boats vying for the championship, the heat was not sailed due to lack of breeze, seeing LCC settle for 2nd.

The crew of Lincoln Crowne and Company would like to thank you at Lincoln Crowne and Company very much for your support over the course of this season, and we hope that together we have achieved what you were hoping for this season.

Many Thanks,
Jonathan Temple,
and Richard Jones.
