Heavily biased line, everyone wanted the pin, all early and crowded, all bailed out below the line and gybed onto port to cross. Lincoln Crowne and Company came out of this best, into the first slant of pressure from the South east. geotherm Tacked into the east, and missed the breeze, Sydney Sailmakers/Dimension Polyant went to the South, LCC, 3 tacks up the middle got them to the top mark 1st.
Gybed away from point Piper to Bradleys head to clear the lee of Point Piper, LCC leading Sydney Sailmakers/Dimension Polyant to the bottom, Geotherm further back.
This procession continued for 3 more laps, on 2 of the runs Sydney Sailmakers/Dimension Polyant got gusts that LCC had left behind, bunching the 2 at the bottom mark, but LCC held them out on the 4th lap to wind from Sydney Sailmakers/Dimension Polyant.
