Sydney Flying Squadron Port Jackson Championship

SFS, Inter-club Championship, scratch start, run-in tide, North-easterly course, Forecast 2nd to 3rd rig, all opted for 3rd rig.

Scratch start off Clark Island, for North-east course 3 times up and down the harbour.

Skiffs off in a bunch,  Lincoln Crowne and Company somewhat buried, forced to tack east giving an early jump to Geotherm and Bigfoot Custom Trapeze Harnesses away fast, Maersk low and under these 2, Sydney Sailmakers/Dimension Polyant having to take the slow lane also.

By Bradleys Head the 2 front runners had a small margin. The breeze not as solid as it had seemed at rig time, saw the 2 lighter crews more comfortable in the down-range breeze than LCC and  Sydney Sailmakers/Dimension Polyant.

Around the Neilsen Park mark as the experimental top mark to test the Easter Nationals course, the 2 leaders getting away around the island to the Clark Is. bottom mark.

Up the long work to Beashel Bouy, positions same, with the gaps increasing slightly.

Down the square run, Maersk ran past LCC in the light, to capsize at the bottom mark spinnaker drop.

Back up the last work to Nielsen Park,  Bigfoot Custom Trapeze Harnesses closing on Geotherm, Sydney Sailmakers/Dimension Polyant  third in front of Lincoln Crowne.

Down the final run, at the finish course  Bigfoot Custom Trapeze Harnesses gybed in front of Geotherm to take the lead, only to capsize coming out of the gybe, allowing Geotherm through first. Maersk used a ferry that forced Lincoln Crowne away from the breeze to close to an overlap on LCC coming to the finish, only to capsize in the pursuit, leaving Bigfoot Custom Trapeze Harnesses second, Sydney Sailmakers/Dimension Polyant third and Lincoln Crowne and Company 4th.
